about

This symphony is based on my operatic version of Romero: God's Microphone. It was inspired by now sainted Oscar Romero who fought, defended, and ultimately died to protect and serve the people of El Salvador during the harsh years of the late 70's and early 80s. A number of other priests had already died by violence or assassination. Romero defended the poor and oppressed not bowing to government and military threats. Ultimately he was gunned down on March 24, 1980 while serving mass.

Note: This is not a live recording but rather a software realization.
